Sarah M. Dunnigan of the University of Edinburgh specialises in Scottish medieval and Renaissance literature, and has published a monograph on the erotic writing of the courts of Mary, Queen of Scots and James VI, Eros and Poetry… (2002). She is co-editor of Woman and the Feminine in Medieval and Early Modern Scottish Writing (2004).
